Questions worth asking

If the one you have is not here, ask it — the answer usually takes a minute.

Is the quoted price the whole price?
Yes. Your quote itemises what is included — accommodation, activities, the transfers we have arranged — and says plainly what is not. There is no booking fee at checkout, no card surcharge and no service charge discovered at the end. Where a supplier's own terms would add something, we tell you before you pay rather than afterwards.
Can you really work with a small budget?
Yes. Tell us the number. If it is genuinely not enough for what you are imagining we will say so, and show you what would work instead — a different destination, a shorter trip, or a different time of year.
How do I pay?
A deposit confirms your booking; the exact percentage appears on your quote before you agree to anything. The balance is then due 15 days before departure, and your trip page shows the full schedule with every payment recorded against it. Trips departing within 45 days are paid in full at booking rather than by deposit — the checkout tells you which applies before you pay. We never ask for card details by telephone or over a message.
What if something goes wrong on the trip?
Your trip page has a button that raises an urgent issue with whoever is on duty. It creates a high-priority job on our side and stays open until somebody has actually resolved it — you can see that happen from your side.
Can I change things after booking?
Yes. Ask for the change from your trip page. We price it, send it back to you, and it only affects your total once you have approved it. Nothing changes on your bill without you agreeing to the number first.
How far ahead should I book?
For long weekends and school holidays, six to eight weeks. Good guesthouses in popular towns fill up quickly and prices climb. Mid-week and off-season, a couple of weeks is usually fine.
Can you handle a big group?
Yes. Retreats, conferences and year-end functions are quoted per group — venue, transport, catering and the bits in between, on one quote and one invoice. Ask us and we will scope it.
What is your cancellation policy?
Charges are tiered by how close to departure you cancel, and we itemise them — if we have already paid a guesthouse a non-refundable deposit on your behalf, it is shown as exactly that rather than hidden inside a percentage. The version you agreed to stays attached to your booking. If you cancel because of death or hospitalisation there is no cancellation charge at all, under section 17(5) of the Consumer Protection Act.
What happens to my personal information?
We share only what a booking needs — your name with the guesthouse, and passport details with an airline or a border where they are required. Nothing else. You can ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to delete it, from the privacy page.
